It was the only part of the angle that would have made sense and it would have elevated Perry greatly and capitalized on his heat. Now we could have had Charles Manson cult leader Perry + EVP terrorizing the roster kino, but instead now the angle is basically a dimeless faction in which the leader is a handicap who cant' wrestle and the main target is out injured for the foreseeable future and they are targeting some random jobbers because the story is on pause until MJF comes back.
Tony really needs to learn how to pivot around injuries. If something shitty happens, someone gets injured, you don't continue it past its expiration date, you pivot and try something new. Keep the audience on their toes & keep it fresh.
