Imagine heel Vince or even heel Shane as the authority figure screwing up all the indie smark matches and booking only their chosen guys in matches. Finally AEW fans would actually boo someone, for real, not just playing along. Now they would have something to cheer for. It would be so kino.
And eventually Tony can even book himself as conquering hero, of sorts, when he "buys back" AEW after several months and the storyline runs dry. And then Tony would look like a genius booker, especially if he can keep this under wraps (kayfabe) for any length of time.
