>>7916259>belts are props with no meaning or value beyond what is arbitrarily assigned to them they do not have "history" or "prestige" they have a list of predetermined winners. If you say so. You could go as far to say that about almost any number of sports championships that you consider to be real when in reality, most if not all of it is predetermined one way or the other like it or not.
>Wrestlers are actors in a weekly tv show with predetermined outcomes and scripts there is no trivializing a business of televised fake fighting it's what wrestling isand Bret didn't want to drop his prop that he was scripted to win on his television program about fake fighting because he would have been scripted to lose to a guy he didn't like
And like actors, wrestlers have contracts. If an actress does not want to do nudes, she is able to stipulate that. Also, if an actor has a problem with another performer, they can take that issue up with the shows producer, like Bret did with Vince in a private manner, not stamping his feet in public and making scenes and everyone look bad or pulling a "hissyfit" like Michaels consistently did. Steve Austin didn't want to put Jeff Jarrett over, not cause Jeff was a shitter and nowhere near his level, it was because Jeff's dad stiffed him on money and he never forgot.
The so called "hardball" was him simply bringing up the creative control that he had and it was the only time it ever got brought up by him ever. He was willing to do business with anyone else on the roster that didn't have a vendetta against him, humilated him in public, disrespected him in front of his fellow "actors" and had the legal means to request that.
Here's another Bret Hart picture for you to enjoy.
