If you don't like the shoulderblocks'n'armdrags sandwich that usually comes with the early parts of NJPW matches you might not be huge on most Japanese wrestling, it's an instrumental part to their match structure a lot of the time. That being said you're correct about AJPW being a bit flashier and higher impact than their contemporaries.
