You need guys like Benoit and Eddie to carry the midcard and have those amazing matches that look great before the draws main event. Without them the show would fall apart. Eddie and Chyna, Eddie and Chavo, Eddie and Rey, Eddie and Rock - all great shit.
Everybody respected Chris and Eddie. They're untouchable when it comes to intensity in the ring currently. The wrestling business is worse off without them and they a truly missed. Whatever happened at the end of Chris's life doesn't take away from how outstanding and hardworking he was.
Remember how that Jordynne Grace twat said how Benoit wouldn't hang today and old guys completely shit on her and she backed down. That just goes to show how respected and appreciated Benoit's talent was by his peers and still is to this day.
