I was still really young when Diesel got over. But I remember vividly enough to tell you that he was a natural draw. When I saw him on TV, I didn’t need the announcers to feed to me that this guy was super cool and going to fuck up everything in his path. He really was the prototype of the Stone Cold Steve Austin character in some ways. There were a lot of big guys who had silly gimmicks and I think at the time the only two big men that had natural charisma were Diesel and Undertaker.
