Discovery is a formal exchange of evidence before trial begins. That’s it. It’s just so when a case goes to trial there’s no trial by bombardment. It’s not to determine the truth of any statement. Lawyers can ask that witnesses be deposed but they can also plead the fifth. They can also lie under oath. Then that has to be proven. There is nothing that would come out in discovery that could back up the claims those two are making. Even if Cornette had a crack legal team that subpoenaed the cameras in their headquarters and there is video of her sucking and fucking wrestlers and they played it in open court that still doesn’t prove anything. They have to have someone testify under oath that the sucking and fucking on video directly lead to some sort of favored relationship that’s tangible.
But nothing of the sort would ever happen because this woman isn’t going to sue Jim Cornette kek. She doesn’t even know who the fuck he is and even if she did she would be smart enough to know you don’t sue podcasters that say mean things. Tort cases like defamation are nightmares.
