1. phil is shoot fired and unwanted in both companies. people are speculating he's behind the mask, and he's adding fuel to the fire so when the guy IS revealed, people are disappointed it isn't phil.
2. phil IS behind the mask, and instead of continuing to act like he's fired, he's teasing it's him. this would damage the surprise, and for what reason? why would you spoil it instead of keeping it a pure surprise?
