Hi, actual adult with a job here.
So there's thing called fiduciary duty, which means you have to make the people you work for money. Which means the head of TBS has to get AEW to resign for as long as possible for as low as possible or find a better program to replace it.
Now replacing AEW is very dangerous because anything that does worse than AEW is a clear failure, where as if AEW is renewed you can crunch the numbers any which way and claim it was the best choice at the time.
However, what makes AEW unique is that THEY HAVE NO INTEREST IN MAKING MONEY. In fact it's not out of the realm of possibility that Tony Khan would actually pay TBS to air AEW. So given your fiduciary duty, you really can't make AEW an offer. You have to wait for someone else to make them an offer and then just go barely above it (or under it because you can assure continuity in their programming. And if no else makes an offer, you get to see how much Tony is willing to pay to keep playing wrestling booker.
