>>17798904Objectively correct. It's not like trans people just happened in the last decade. But even when jokes were done about them in older sitcoms, it was almost always just a bombshell with the twist that they have a penis, which makes everyone go "eww lol".
At some point though, trans went from just a thing people are to this whole flag waving identity, which has resulted in a lot of people clinging on to it for the sense of belonging, and in the process making life more difficult for the people who put the effort in to actually pass and want nothing more than just to be left alone.
If changing genders was as easy as just popping a pill to completely change your biology overnight to be an attractive person of the opposite sex, far more people would be ok with it.
