One thing is for sure, and was pretty much confirmed after the fact, that Adam Page was acting like a petulant child, going into business for himself, and he didn't care to sell the angle they were supposedly putting on because he was so full of himself, thinking he was more over than he really was, and he was kidding himself into believing he was standing up for some something that turned out to be themselves lying to themselves, lying to the audience, and lying to the dirtsheets, because they just didn't like CM Punk getting all the attention and they weren't.
Now look how things turned out; CM Punk got ran off back to the company he walked out and promised never to return from and is drawing people to watch a show they normally can't stand to watch because of how BORING it is! And Adam Page is busy drinking the blood of black men in hopes that his, his "edgy" shit is going to draw any more viewers and not get them in any trouble with the network. Noone is watching, and nobody is going to remember years from now except for a bunch of smarks, and there really aren't as many of those as they want to believe. It's a sad situation for AEW, but they still want to kid themselves into thinking they're still in a good spot.
