For so long, wrestling has been this anti-hobby. You have music and film where the mainstream stuff is sometimes good, but generally garbage, especially compared to shit on the fringes. In wresting, WWE is the mainstream product, and then everything is generally just shittier--and I say that knowing full well just how bad WWE has been during certain stretches. It's actually kinda fucking embarrassing.
Anyway, AEW was completely built on this indie ethos, so no wonder it turned to shit.
