He got in trouble for that, he mentioned it in an interview but didn't say how he was "punished." But considering he hasn't had another full contact match again yet in NJPW, that's probably his punishment.
I wonder if he's doing this in AEW of his own volition and sidestepping NJPW entirely. Probably not considering he had his theme but would be incredibly based of him.
