Legit the real reason is he had a run-in with the Steiner Bros when he was rookie in Japan. The Steiners were infamous locker room bullies and there's a couple of stories floating around about the kind of "pranks" they would play on vulnerable young members of the locker room. In one story, they wrapped a referee head to toe in duct tape like a mummy and shoved a pencil up his ass.Another story involved them targeting a certain up and coming Texan wrestler. Once again they broke out the duct tape but this time they used it to restrain the Texan talent in the men's toilet and reportedly used him as a human urinal all night long.
