I saw some people complain about this match, how Fujita's making Kaito look weak, how he's booked too strong, politicking his way through matches, et cetera. I love how he's booked. He's the final boss of NOAH, a cocky shithead and he'll only lose when he lets it happen. I think that's sick.
>>7839572Great question! I prefer Funaki, but it might also be a booking thing influencing me subconsciously. Since he gets bigger matches and mostly wrestles in a way that fits his style, while Suzuki's been reduced to a midcard character guy for a good while now. That's not to say I don't pop for every KO elbow-tongue spot, he's still great at that aspect, and he was pretty much always a character wrestler to me anyway. I think he had some pretty great matches during G1 30, so if he got that opportunity again I think he could step up. As is, both booking and wrestling wise, I think Funaki has him beat, but peak mid-late 2000's Suzuki is probably the best either of them has been.
