>>9928189>BestHeel-wise Hunter and Edge monopolized the title during their runs, so lots of people associate them with the belt by default. Really depends on how much patience you had for the reign of terror and Edge's never ending hot potato.
Babyface-wise gotta give it to Batista. Dude was the most prominent and long lasting good guy to hold the belt, and in comparison to Cena who won his world title the same night and was being booed 3-4 months later on Raw, Big Dave was running the Blue Brand easily and fans didn't start turning on him till like 2008, 3 years later. Props to Angle and Benoit as well, who despite having much shorter reigns comparatively had some bangers and were pretty beloved and over. Benoit even being one of the few World champions to hold double gold since he won the Tag belts with Edge at the same time.
>WorstWith hindsight I think it's gotta be Swagger. Dude was not ready and straight ganked Jericho's honest man in a suit deal with 1/10th the charisma. Just looking at his career overall compared to all these other champs he's a pretty distinct outlier. No one looks back fondly on Khali as champ, but dude had a freakish legitimacy to him that worked fine for a one off Monster Heel run.
Cena's runs are also some of his most unmemorable. Were just more accolades to add to the stack for him during his top guy run. His highlight being losing it in the chamber and spawning that Edge meme reaction about sums up his time with it. The belt always looked out of place on him when compared to the WWE belt.
