This is all they’ve got. They can’t admit WWE is trash because of the sunken cost fallacy, they’ve spent too many years defending WWE online. Admitting the truth now would break them because it would mean accepting that they wasted all that time. So they bring up AEW out of nowhere as a kind of psychological defense mechanism, a way to deflect from the cognitive dissonance eating at them.
