>>17964019there's a few things contributing to the dearth of new main event level stars
>triple nose has favorites who he always pushes at the expense of others, even if they suck (like diy or seethe bawlins)>he also doesn't capitalize on people when they get over right away, like how in 2023 LA Knight was giga over and he gave him a run with a midcard belt a year later. i understand its probably from a place of caution where he doesn't want to fuck anything up but taking risks is how guys like mick foley got over. >the bloodline without roman is now a vortex of anti-dimes samoans that is sucking in midcarders who may otherwise have the ability to be a main eventer. jacob breathed a little life into it, but he's out of it now so its back to solo shitting up the upper midcard>the ultra long title reigns from a few years ago meant the main event was pretty much locked in for years, so there weren't opportunities for someone new to be on top. it also created a pretty sizeable crop of would be main eventers who are all bunched up at the upper midcard now after never getting their run in the main event. >nxt is good as a developmental brand, but can sometimes keep people down there too long. Oba and Trick specifically are basically carrying the entire nxt men's division by themselves so i doubt they will go up any time soon. I also think Tatum Paxley is probably the best woman they have there but they aren't really doing anything with her either >wwe is starting to suffer from the same roster bloat issue aew does. there's too many people now so no one but the absolute best of the best goes to the top (like bron)i'm sure five years from now it'll probably be someone totally unexpected like Shiloh Hill as the new ace but it's a bit hard to see right now who the next big thing is.
