What's the difference here besides the fact that with the multiperson match, all characters get to interact in the build up to their mutual goal? How do characters not have a chance to expand on their motives while building a 4 way? You're saying pretty things but they make no real sense.
But it's your character and your storyline so do what you want, I can't stop someone from screwing themselves.
