They spent the entire negotiation window going back and forth with WBD, then tried for an exclusive deal elsewhere, then came crawling back to WBD to accept an even worse deal than before. Like I said before, none of this money is guaranteed and AEW still isn't turning a profit. This TV deal isn't the promotion saving lifeline you guys want to pretend that it is. It's not a sudden injection of millions in cash for Tony to play with and add more toys to the toybox. He's going to be on an even tighter leash with WBD this time around, but the upside is AEW is no longer exclusive to WBD networks (hypothetically, if he manages to sell a show to someone else).
