More money usually means bigger names on the show, better wrestlers, better production values and other important things. WWE is getting so much money off their new deal that they could literally run shows in front of 0 fans for the next 20 years and still be profitable.
If the ratings are too low, you get less money, worse time slots, get put on secondary channels or the show gets cancelled.
>Why should I care about hot shotting?Because you end up getting years like AEW is having this year. They ran through all of their big matches already and now the product is cold. The only way to come up with new matches are to make new stars and that's hard.
