They had a dude who had whatever it was bonecancer or what not scoliosis whose idea of a character was a lollipop sucking prancer and talking about how he's gonna be a wrestler, all 5' of him looking like Johnny Gargano took his lunch money for 6 years in a row. Come on now, we know that motherfucker didn't have "personality" or whatever the fuck the try out judges painted him with on the segments.
While there were tryouts and wrestlers, there were pseudo celebs and actors embedded to get shock value and more than a fresh out of mommas basement signee would be willing to dish out or whip out for embarrassment on national tv
A lot of that show was meant as reality show big brother/survivor garbage and equally as fake and that's why Next Gen mostly failed - it was MTV Real World 15 years late and trying to create Miz in a lab with BJ.
