He's petty enough to do it, anyone can buy likes or follows... wouldn't that make a lot of sense? Someone so terminally online and obsessed with himself that he bought reactions? Someone with such an ego that he posts his own tweets here, doesn't seem unlikely at all. Especially when you see how badly he wants to be relevant here.
