Knight is like Rider in that he knows how to market and present himself, but it doesn't mean he's a star. Both are mediocre in-ring and can't work main event.
Knight rides Attitude Era nostalgia, Ryder uses VDS and cheeky WWE references. Ryders skill at marketing himself is an attribute, but organic it is not and VInce knows once you start pushing these guys the crowd stops caring so there's no payoff to the investment.
