One of Scott's biggest problems other than being a drug addict is that he was the worst class clown when other people were involved. 1 on 1, usually a normal guy that frequently had good insights. But if any of his friends were around, he was a total dick. It wasn't just in wrestling, this is apparently how he was anytime they booked him with Nash whenever they did cons together.
Plus, his ribs tended to be on the actually cruel side vs a normal prank.

I read Bret's book, and while he shits on all the Kliq guys he seems to really particularly hate Scott Hall, saying that he had no respect for him as a person, that he was a joke of a man, that he was a pathetic drug addict, etc, and unlike with Shawn he never says anything pleasant about him.

Was Scott Hall that much of an asshole?

Swerve didn't debut in AEW until like a year after the other guys you mentioned. He was still Isaiah Scott in NXT. I remember because I was watching it at the time.

There could have been a time where POP was only for the roster and all foreigners could only challenge for the IPC, but they never went that way with it. We've had the likes of Veda Scott and Lana Austin challenging for the POP since early on.
