Marvel is willing to just tread water, but DC right now has Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson leading the creative direction of their line through their All In initiative. They also have an alternative universe called the Absolute Universe with different versions of the heroes. Snyder's Absolute Batman has been tons of fun. And the main universe has a lot of good books too. Aquaman, Green Lantern, a lot of stuff that's just fun. What superhero books are supposed to be.
