Today marks one year since I started watching wrestling again (after having watched for a couple years when I was a kid back in 2006ish).
here are some of my thoughts on storylines, character, ect as a relative newcomer.
>pic related
my initial ranking made back in early oct 2024
>September 2024
-The first episode of Raw I watched was main evented by Jey and Bron in an intercontinental championship match. It seems most people didn't/don't like Jey, but since he played such a big role in my wrestling fandom I will always be a little more favorable of him (but i was still rooting for Bron, even back then
-The Miz (dimes), who I remember fondly from the mid 2000s, betrayed R-Truth and joined (dimeless) Kross' stable, which was then derailed by (dimeless) howdyslop. unfortunate
-There was a big Last Monster Standing match between Bronson and Strowman. Nothing much to say about the match, but it's interesting to see how quickly careers can diverge
>October 2024
-Rhea and Tiffy teamed up for a tagteam match and I am still wondering how we didn't ever get a Freaky Fridayesque GothTiffy/BimboRhea moment
-I didn't have Peacock yet, so I didnt get to see the Dominic in the Cage match between Rhea and Liv, or the toolbox match between Punk and Drew
-I think the Schizo Kevin Owens story began around this point. I miss KO
>November 2024
-Tensions start within the New Day and their heel turn begins. Absolute travesty how dumb it turned out
-War Games was pretty good. Bronson's tsunami from the cage was cool, but i never cared/ don't care/ will never care about coconut community theater. Those horrendous chair shots from Nia Jax will always be funny
-shinsuke v knight slop for the US title
-oh yeah, and Chase U ended (I never really watched NXT, but i thought this gimmick was dumb)
