>>10001519These reasons:
- The users the mods like can do anything they want as long as it doesn't break site wide rules.
- The mods of subs can do anything they want. They can ignore your messages. They can ignore your reports. They can ban you for things that were said outside of their sub. They can ban you just for posting or subscribing to other subs.
- The site admins can also basically do anything they want.
- If these groups of people can't come up with anything, they can just downvote you. Then your posts get hidden, you have to wait 5-15 minutes between posts and on some subs, your posts are just shadow-removed if your score isn't high enough.
The right had a strong presence on the site with The_Donald. They changed the upvote system and blocked TD from making it to the front page where they could be seen more. They removed mods and basically told them to take on tranny mods or the sub would be banned. So the sub mods just left.
It's just not worth it as someone who is IP banned and has lots hundreds of accounts. You can't say anything and you can be banned any time they please. People aren't going to listen to you or engage with you if they don't agree with you. They will just downvote you until your message is hidden and get you banned.
