Then it was originally gonna be held on the undercard, the IWGP HW match was the original main event, but on Dynamite MJF bitches at Tony Khan about he's the top star, he's the champ, he ought to be the main event on an AEW PPV, either he gets top billing and a main event payday, or he'll show up on Smackdown Friday night and throw the belt in the bin. References Punk showng up in WWE and Tony not having the balls to do anything about it. Tony cucks and this underwhelming matchup becomes the main event.
