I genuinely believe nxt uk existed to disrupt the uk indie scene. But I also believe the standing up movement did more damage to that scene (rightfully) than wwe ever could.

nxt uk exists was created at a time where ITV looked to be bringing back World of Sport, and in boomer (literal descriptor, not insult) Vince's mind he was worried it would eat the UK market because he remembered a period in the 80s when World of Sport did big viewing numbers. Fortunately for Vince, it is not the 80s anymore and World of Sport was a stillborn project.
