Vince was the one that gave him creative control. If Shawn shut the fuck up, it wouldn't have been an issue. Bret was willing to work with him despite having creative control. Shawn blabbed and fucked everything up.

Don't act like Hogan or anyone in history wouldn't have done the same shit that Bret pulled. Shit, they wouldn't have even worked with Shawn in the first place, which Bret was willing to do because it made sense (and drew them their biggest buyrates for the year)
