He needs to drop the Jungle Boy gimmick and just be Jack Perry. Maybe keep the Theme song but he will never be seen as a top guy looking like that.

I’m okay if he calls himself Jungle Boy forever because wrestlers no-selling old age is always based. Like how Sean will always be heartbreak kid and Flair will always be the nature boy. There also aren’t many successful examples of guys dropping what got them over in the first place in favor of the “I’m a serious wrestler now” gimmick.

Nah, he should go deeper into the Jungle Boy gimmick.
Do an angle where his plane crashes into the Amazon and he goes feral while lost in the jungle. Have him come back after getting on the juice for a few months, swinging to the ring and beating his chest like Tarzan. It would also give him an excuse to stay the fuck away from the mic.
Jack Perry will never be anything special, so you might as well make him a gimmick.

Jungle Boy's ceiling from day one has been a small, fan-favorite underdog in the mold of the 1-2-3 Kid or Spike Dudley. He'll never be main event material and he doesn't have to be. If anything, then yeah, he should lean into the gimmick more. Have him swinging on vines like the other anon said and come to the ring eating bananas or something. That would at least make him memorable and funny.
