I remember a time when you needed money for certain things. I'm talking about the 80s and 90s. For example nowadays you can get 4k blurays cheap as fuck used on Ebay and you honestly don't even need to buy them as you can torrent and use streaming services also. Back in my days you needed a great job to afford laserdiscs. And vhs tapes weren't that cheap also as you needed to rent them from your local store. I remember a time when you needed a great job to have that Neo Geo home console. Now these zoomzooms have access to great games at virtually no cost with Xbox Game Pass. I also remember you needed a great job and land to have one of those giant 6ft C-Band satellite dishes and now these fuckers have all of these on demand services. Back in my day a big screen projection tv was about 2500 dollars in 90s money and now you can get a 4k 65" for 300 dollars on Black Friday.

Well I look at it like this. Back in the 90's electronics were expensive and everything else was cheap such as food/rent/gas. Now it has switched were electronics are cheap as fuck and everything else is expensive as fuck. I also do agree that we could enjoy our media more as we could only afford a few games or movies a year and we had to watch them over and over again. You could afford one puro tape every 3 months and enjoyed the fuck out of it now everything is oversaturated like NJPW World were you don't even watch anything since its just too much material.

Yeah that’s a big problem with modern wrestling. Way too much. I used to like Impact because it was just one show a week so easy to follow, but quality dropped a lot following Callis leaving. WWE feels like a full time job, and AEW is on the same path.

I guess my point is a poor fuck nowadays has access to the top notch Vidya/Movies/Tv that only rich guys in the past had. Of course minus the nice house and car. A 75" 4k led in a shitty apartment is a lot better than a 50" projection that you had to sit directly in front of to even watch. I feel bad you young guys can't get 1 dollar big macs though.

Us poorfags always found a way. Piracy was and always will be rampant. I think by the late 90s early 00’s everything was a lot cheaper, or felt that way because more people had jobs. I hope you aren't watching these classic VHS tapes on some bum ass new 4k tv. To truly experience these gems you NEED to have a CRT Tube Television. I personally have 3 just in case they break down and some decades into the future you won't be able to find them anymore. They are perfect for old tv shows/movies/anime/wrestling on vhs/dvd and of course for old video game consoles.

My dream is to have all of the various wrestling dvd's that were put out. I'm not really into VHS unless it's something that never came out on DVD or had something edited/cut for the DVD release. Things that were once out of reach for me when new are now in reach. That Bret DVD set was probably 30 dollars new now you can find it for 5. My favorite period is anything late 80s to about 1997.

I have an extensive DVD collection as well. Though I moved on a lot of B ppv shows from the 2000s. WCW didn’t get a dvd release in the UK, so tapes it is.
It is a good feeling owning things you once dreamed of. With the added perk of not going into debt like carFags and the like.

I know ROH and TNA had dvds also as well as those old Pioneer ECW dvds plus the UK ECW dvds with the original audio. I heard that AEW even has dvds but those must be fucking burned on demand or something. Don't forget about all of the WWF blurays also. Don't think any 4K material has come out yet though.

The WWE Homevideo UK site still updates regularly. Priced very fairly as well. Maybe they have some 4K? I’m not a picture fag so I’m still happy with DVD. Probably going to complete my best of nitro set soon.
