It was a lift that he made up though, the one where he does a split across benches or chairs then picks up a dumbbell. Still impressive but it's not like it's a functional lift that other people are going to do.

A lot of guys try to imitate his stuff but they aren't coordinated enough to do it. There are a lot of idiots who gush about how athletic everyone is now because they can flip slowly and badly. So many try Van Dam's shit and none of them can even do his basic kicks. He was just an actual athletic guy.
