After WW2 the US conducted a massive study employing experts from over a dozen different disciplines to see what percentage of the population would be susceptible to becoming fascists/authoritarian nationalists, the number they arrived at was around 42%. The study also concluded there was a strong biological component to a person’s political leanings and there was pretty much nothing you could do to change them, which suggests “radicalization” is a myth.
