He left 2023 AJPW, came in to crickets and almost immediately challenged for the top belt. The crowd didn't care for him on the first few shows, but once he started tagging against Kaito it became obvious the two had great chemistry and the crowd immediately warmed up to him. I think GLG were meant to start off as heels, but he really gets crowds going now.
While I did personally like the Kaito match, I understand the complaint about him being absolutely bulldozed, and I didn't want Kaito to lose that match as it happened either. In hindsight, though, that match was very well structured, albeit a tad too long.
