There's a vocal minority of people actively spamming shit to troll and the first type of guys are super susceptible to falling for it so they choose to engage in waifu wars to get their reactions. Type 1 will join in with these guys when it so happens to be their waifu which is why I think there's such a severe difference between the Io spam and Sashaschizo, who I both think are trolls.
I'd also wager that there are also a chunk of "normal" coomers who are the guys you see posting lewds in their containment threads, I think there is definitely some overlap with the 1st type of autist here but they aren't as severely afflicted.
There's also the WOMENS WRESTLING IS THE BEST type fags, not super common on this board but think the gay black men on Twitter shilling Sasha/Naomi/Bianca
