Brock can't adlib. He's not passionate about wrestling. He appreciates the paycheck, and he has had an entertaining moment here or there, but it's never sustained.
People point to talents and say they're lazy, they're just there for the paycheck. That's Brock's career summed up. Nothing wrong with it, he's still great, but top 3? Bro, I can't even tell you one great feud he's been in. Angle, the one where Brock is the heavy and booked like a monster? Or Cena, the one where Brock is the heavy, and booked like a monster. Or is it Eddie, you know, the one where Brock is the heavy, and he's booked like a monster. That one.
He's not memorable in any regard but being a freakish athlete. I think Vince had a hard on for the guy as there have been many others with a similar build capable of much more on the mic.
But I also get Brock serves a need for the heavy. A modern day Andre, a special attraction who doesn't need to do much. So yeah, he doesn't hold an audience captive with a great promo of slow burning feud, but he's a cool little click bait article worthy of telling your coworkers about the next day. "Yup, bro. Saw Brock Lesnar, he was there."
So the fuck what.
