Big guys don't wanna be wrestlers. There are also more avenues of fame and income these days/ They can scam people with the fitness instructor meme, they can be only bodybuilders, they can stream videogames, they can be grifting bro podcasters. Wrestling has been seen as PG and shat on for so long, the types attracted to it are exactly that.

It needs a total, generation-long revamp of its societal image. But there are two camps civilwarring over whether it stays that way, or tries to get some of its "street cred" edge back. The flippy midget camp is gonna win.

99% of people would rather watch Luger than Cole. Luger looked like an action figure, but before his car accident, he was a good worker that had several great matches during his first WCW run.

Other anons have touched on this but, wrestlers back in the day were big tough guys who washed out of pro athletics or were trying to leverage the fact they were a collegiate wrestler, or a legit tough guy or a real psycho - whatever. Wrestlers nowadays are well...wrestling fans - guys that grew up watching it and desired nothing more to be a wrestler their entire life. They tape traded and read the Observer - they cared more about having good matches than making money.

The result of this, for whatever reason is a generation of undersized guys that can wrestle well in the Meltzer star rating sense but are dull as dishwater otherwise.

One of the modern exceptions to this is Lesnar. He likes pro wrestling but that's just because he's good at it and he's paid well. He would never wrestle in front of 20 people in a bingo hall. He's one of the few guys that has maintained his mystique and remains compelling.

I found out mine is in low 300s. I don't exhibit stereotypical numale behaviors yet but I can definitely see how higher levels could make me a much better man and less of a cringe nihilist.

I've started taking zinc and other supplements and I'm trying to reduce my carb consumption for now. I've also limited my wrestling content consumption exclusively to hogan, sheik, heenan, macho man and piper promos.

What else worked for you anons?

A couple of reasons
Rey Mysterio and Shawn Michaels inspired AJ Styles and CM Punk who inspired the current crop of guys.
Meltzer stars have got people brain washed that hoss matches can't be good, so guys got to do flippy shit matches to get over and make money.
Not a wrestling thing, but it still applies to wrestling. Improvments to sports nutrition and medicine and how the major league sports teams are emploing more people just to be on practice squads, pro athletes are able to have longer careers in sports, that why WWE has started doing NIL deals.
