>>10096331I was a young teen during the Attitude era. Let me just say this:
Are the actual matches better now, technically speaking? I suppose they may get more Meltzer stars on average so maybe
Is wrestling more profitable now? I personally don't have the numbers but I've read on here that WWE's profits now are bigger than ever before, so probably
Are the feuds/storylines better? I personally think that's too much of a matter of opinion to give a solid answer to
But here's one thing that Attitude era "boomers" will never seethe over: when it comes to mainstream relevance and cultural impact, it's absolutely no contest. People outside of typical wrestling fans actually acknowledged and liked wrestling, and knew who the wrestlers were. It was considered cool if you were a teen wearing a wrestling shirt in school, kids were running around doing crotch chops to people, nWo shirts and Austin 3:16 shirts were commonly seen on people of all ages. There are Attitude era midcarders who were more well-known and are STILL more well-known than many of today's so-called top stars. Ask 100 random people in the U.S. today if they know who Goldust is and I guarantee you more would respond with "yes" than if you asked them who Kenny Omega or Seth Rollins is
That's something that our "boomer" era will always have over yours
