It's struggling right now cuz Scott D'Amore is a good match agent but not a good booker
It's missing the secret sauce that Don Callis brought which was to embrace tongue in cheek edginess (without being too tryhard). When Callis was booking in 2019, it genuinely felt like Impact was hitting a stride similar to 1997 WWF and it was just missing one white hot Stone Cold/anti American Bret Hart angle.

Now it's just second rate AEW: it's smark pandering on par with AEW Dark or ROH.

D'Amore just doesn't have the creative spark.
It needs the pre covid style of NWA Powerrr. Corgan's NWA has a terrible roster but had a great idea with the original Powerrr (but a lot of that was Josephus, Dave Lagana and Dave Marquez)

Anthem should have sold Impact to Jarrett and Conrad when they had the offer in summer of 2022.

The best thing Impact could be in current wrestling is a "rasslin studio wrestling show". Embrace it's Nashville roots. Tape out of a TV studio in TN or Florida or Atlanta. Focus on promos and brawls and heat and personal rivalries instead of scouting a shallow pool of no-dimes indie scrubs from the Midwest.

Honestly at this point, give the book to Dreamer and Bully Ray. I think they would at least give Impact a New York tough guys identity.

There's no redeeming quality.

Srs. You can feel the lack of ambition, and lack of personality. Even the name, "Impact" wrestling. What's that shit. It's like calling it "footstomp wrestling". "TNA" was a terrible name as well. Like some other anon said, it's an idie company at this point.

I think a studio would do well for Impact. Pick a decent town where you can build a core fanbase of regulars who buy tickets to see the show on a regular basis. With an okay roster and their NJPW connections that should be enough to interest a small loyal core if set in the right town.

I would recommend southern cities: Nashville, Atlanta, Florida, etc. Then pick the classic wrestling cities for Impact Plus and PPVs: Chicago, NY, Toronto
