Hunter wants to keep Dexter pg-13 and kid friendly. A feud with Kross would require Dexter going darker edgier combined with the fact that Dexter technically is to both Indi and Johnny Gargano what Scarlett is to Kross. Eye candy to get other people over

Didn't someone say there was heat between the two? That Dexter was made to from angry incel serial killer to goody two shoes Babyface because Kross had a serial killer gimmick too and because hunter overpaid for Kross, Kross got to keep the gimmick and Dexter had to change?
