This plus don't have him feud with shit heels who can't get heat like Triple H. When Cena started feuding with Edge, he got cheered again, because Edge was a great heel, unlike Trips, who robbed Edge's spot vs Cena in the main event of WM22, which resulted in Cena being booed off the building despite being the top babyface in the company.

Better booking would help somewhat. Namely, don't try to make him an underdog. But the big thing that hurt Cena was that he just wasn't any good in the ring until '07, and even after that he always had serious flaws as a worker, especially before his feud with Punk.

That was always gonna hurt him.

People didn't turn on him until like 2012 when the SuperCena shit was getting stale and he was still burying younger guys. The only people really booing him in 2005 were a loud minority of smarks.
