>>10151293I'm playing from Fall 1989, because it was the best mod I could find near Wrestle War 90, after which silly crap like Robocop, Black Scorpion, and the Stinker winning the NWA world title off Flair, marked a shift to campus cartoon wrestling. I plan to change things pretty heavily.
I don't have everything worked out yet, but at the top of the card, I'm building up the J-Tex Corporation into a longer term threat. I signed both Bam Bam Bigelow and Earthquake and added them to the stable as two monster enforcers that were "trained in Japan," which is sort of true. They're going to be the next big tag team feud for the Road Warriors, and will go over them as I still plan to let them go for a fresh tag division in mid 1990. Both Bigelow and Tenta are young and I think would have made a formidable tag team.
I plan to have the Sting/Muta and Flair/Funk feuds blow them off at Halloween Havoc. Flair beats Funk but Muta beats Sting. After that, J-Tex brings in Stan Hansen to "replace" Funk as the top Texan (I love Funk but not as a main eventer long term in 90). I want to build to Flair/Hansen which was a dream match at the time. I also want Muta to win the US title, possibly off Luger. I'm slowly building towards a Four Horsemen revival, as babyfaces, to battle the J-Tex Corporation and make that my storyline for 1990. But I'm uncertain if I want to rebook Starrcade 89 completely or not. I really enjoyed the Iron Man and Iron Team tournaments. I love the concept because of the many great match-ups between top stars, but the format means at least 1 team has to lose twice to make the match work for a winner. So someone gets essentially buried. In reality, it was Doom and Muta. So I might change the format or toss it out entirely.
