I'm sick of JRPGs. I liked them once but every single game that doesn't give a fuck about gameplay just puts a JRPG style in it and calls it a day. They ruined JRPGs for me.

This. It's hard to do a turn based rpg that doesn't have lame gameplay. A lot of them have to be carried by their narrative and style with gameplay being the least noteworthy thing
