I loved breath of the wild, i just got to hyrule in totk but im just bummed that its exactly the same. Same map, shrines again…even the sound effects and much of the soundtrack are the same.

I 100%ed BOTW (except side quests) so im still tired of it and was hoping for something new.

I am a retrochad and dont ever complain about graphics/performance but it is pretty stupid that they push a handheld console and a feature like ultrahand and the two simply do not work right together

In what universe do they not work right together? I admit it took me 20min or so to get down manipulating objects in 3d space but once I did it was quite trivial to use.

Im not talking about solving the puzzles lol. The games runs slow when you are playing handheld and using ultrahand. Maybe yours does not but if so, congrats on having the worlds highest quality switch

The overworld map is the same, that's about it. Everything else has been extrapolated upon and added to. Besides the overworld map there's an underworld now that literally doubles the games size, as well.

That's not TOTK's fault though, it's the consoles fault and the result of Switch being at it's end-of-life in terms of what they can eek out of its low specs.
The Switch will be replaced soon and ToTK will be a launch title for the new gen and it'll be dope in comparison.

Zelda is just a draw for some reason, I have the last two games and I think they are boring, zoomer me doesn’t get this franchise, I rather play Pokémon. But the last one was too crap even for me.

I noticed multiple framedrops in Kakariko Village, everytime I activate the Grabberhand in certain locations (like if there are a few mobs nearby) or when you have multiple enemies and fire off a bomb arrow (massive dips, I think it was 18 fps for 4-5 seconds.
Its usually rather smooth, but it does have some moments where its chugging.

The problem is that Switch component are garbage and the port of every non2D game bad and is a shame because WiiU wasn't bad, Wii sorta and Cube was great
