Did WWE have to tone down The Rock and have stuff like him writing lines on his wrists to make Cena look good? The Rock was destroying him before and it seemed like they were worried Cena couldn't ever recover.

fuck i remember this and how the wrestlemania he hosted was literally a raw tier show that just set up the next WM with this match.
in general this was legit one of the worst time periods in wwe. everything from like 09 to 13 was dogshit.

It seemed bad at the time and like it couldn't get worse but in comparison the last 6 plus years (besides that one year Smackdown was good) it actually looks good.
