I don't know about the series finale of wrestling, but I'd at least say it was a fitting culmination to the nearly two-decades-long oppressive corporate authority versus held back everyman storyline, which had drifted between explicit on-screen storytelling (Austin v McMahon) to more meta (the perpetually pushed Cena over many crowd favourites), as well as culmination to the Triple H character arc.
