Notice how in the last 5 years or so, wrestling only really had one decent storyline. (Bloodline with Sami Zayn). Back in the 2000s, they had storylines all over the card with even midcarders getting some shit to work with. Hell, remember when Torrie Wilson’s dad was fucking Dawn Marie? Or when Eddie and Rey fought over Dominick? And Eddie was reading “bedtime stories” to him like an absolute prick? Those weren’t even main event storylines. Now they don’t even have the effort to make a story with main eventers these days. It’s literally always underdog baby face vs tough bully. Example being Rhodes vs Brock. Where’s the fucking drama? Where’s the typical soap opera funny shit? This is why WWE is so sterile. This is why everyone feels like a created wrestler in a video game. It’s because these storylines made people memorable.
