Fox can probably run re-runs of some famous IP and get more bang for their buck with less money. Nick Khan already saying WWE is looking at Amazon and Netflix as possible suiters for Smackdown which to me sounds like they know Fox isn't renewing.

They get a significant boost to exposure on broadcast.
SD gets about 75% of what Raw gets in other countries, so you'd be going from it being worth more per hour than Raw to less. Moving days would alleviate that a bit though, I'd guess.

If WWE's shows went straight to streaming I could save a lot of money. The only reason I pay for cable is to watch WWE. I wonder if Comcast would let the shows simulcast on Peacock as well as USA. They do that with Indycar races already. They'll air on NBC or USA as well as Peacock at the same time.

Insiders think a lot of think. If Fox doesn't want SD anymore, it makes more sense for them to just ride out the last year or so of their contract and let the rights go elsewhere. It's not like they have programming that will draw bigger viewership to put in the Friday primetime slot right this moment.

I really hope that's not true, those are terrible platforms. If those are the options they're looking at, and assuming NBCU renews for at least RAW, why not just put both shows on Peacock?
